This is Daisy, the reason why this site was created.
She's been spending Sunday afternoons at various dog parks.
It's important for dogs to learn at a young age how to interact with one another. |

Dog Park Benefits
Any dog owner, trainer or vet will tell you that socializing your dog is very important. At the dog park puppies see how other dogs play, sniff, approach others, they learn body language and they learn to tell friendly dogs from dangerous ones - they get to practice what their instinct tells them in a safe environment. These are all essential skills that pooches need throughout their lives.

We, the humans, get to meet other people with simiar interests (people who take their dogs to parks have a lot in common), we share stories about our pets and often hear good tips and advice. As a new dog owner I learned the most from people I met at leash free parks who had dogs for decades.

When Daisy comes back from the park she doesn't even have the energy to chase the cat away from her own bed. And she doesn't have the energy to eat my socks and chew up newspapers either! Another great benefit: a tired dog is a good dog. So give your doogie a good exercise and take him/her to a park near you every week!
Dog Park Rules Simplified
Parks usually post a list of rules that visitors must follow. But to be honest there are only three things that really matter: Pick up the poop, don't let other dogs bully yours (always keep an eye on him/her) and don't let your dog bully other dogs. If you remember these simple tips you will always have a good time.

Not all dogs have fun times
This website is not about dog abuse but let's not forget about those doggies who are not lucky enough to have caring owners.
A chained dog serves a life sentence with no parole only because he is a dog. (think about this for a second) While all he wants is to be with you and give you his unconditional love.
We all agree this is wrong, right? Then we say "Aw, that's so sad", sigh, and move on. Let's do something about it. Please. Donate to Donate to Dogs Deserve Better to help unchain dogs and provide a kind, more loving life for them. I don't mean to guilt-trip anyone - it just feels soooo good to help suffering doggies.
They are unseen. Forgotten. Alone. Forever. On a chain. Dying in the back yard of humans. Please help them - in return a pair of bright and beautiful eyes will look at you every day.
